North Star Building Inspection is a building inspection service based in North Belfast, Northern Ireland. We offer pre-purchase property inspections for buyers. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us via WhatsApp or email (details on the contact page).
2. What Data We Collect
When you submit an enquiry via our contact form, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Property address
- Property type
- Description of the work you want assessed
We do not collect payment card data or any special category data.
3. Why We Collect It
We collect this data solely to manage your inspection enquiry — to contact you, arrange a visit, and deliver our service to you.
4. Legal Basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in providing the requested service (Article 6(1)(f)).
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
Enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission, or until your request is fully resolved, whichever comes first. After that, it is deleted.
6. Who We Share It With
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by the following service providers, solely to deliver our service:
- Resend — used to send email confirmations to you
- Twilio — used to send internal WhatsApp notifications to the inspector
- Neon — secure cloud database where your enquiry is stored
All providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time

8. Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. No consent banner is required. Session behaviour is handled by Next.js defaults only.
9. Security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an encrypted database hosted in the EU (Ireland). Access is restricted to the inspector and no one else.
